Keeping up with Fashion

The next few weeks are full of Fashion events all over the globe. New York Fashion started a few days ago showcasing many talented designers. London is buzzing with the SS12 fashion trends. Starting with Vogue’s ‘Fashion  Night’s Out’ and continuing with London Fashion week London has the latest fashion events and designer shows.

Here at Fashion Aperitiv we are continually showing the best and most talented designers. So our designers have been beautifully creative too and we would like to introduce their latest work and unique designs.

Anna Popovich  -  "Expect feminine silhouettes, luxurious swathes of hand-draping and tactile explosions of colour."

Each of Anna Popovich’s designs has a focus on luxury and attention to detail; each piece is 100% silk and draped by hand.

The A/W 11 12 Collection has been influenced by human muscle structure, creating and distorting second skins. Anna takes an organic approach to pattern cutting, creating multi-dimensional draping detail with a sculptural bent. Using single pieces of silk she covers parts of the body in a way that accentuates without necessarily revealing them.

Hayley Kruger –  jewellery pieces that are strong, vibrant - for a woman who wants to make an impact

Hayley Kruger was born and raised in the Southern parts of Africa and now lives in London, so it is through living in these varied places that she has found influence for her designs. The vibrancy and fascinating construction of botanical elements along the sub-tropical east coast of Africa is clearly visible in Hayley’s pieces, but it is the rise of strong female icons in history and popular culture such as Barbarella, Joan of Arc and Miriam Makeba, that give the essence to her collections.

All constructed using her signature material suede, the bold designs are tactile and luxurious hence Hayley is now stocked internationally and has had her work shown at several prestigious galleries and events such as London’s Victoria & Albert Museum, jewellery gallery Platform and London Fashion Week.

Helena Bravo – jewellery influenced by  a mix a Scandinavian minimalism and Latin warmt.

Half Norwegian and half Spanish, Helena has lived in 8 different countries. Helena draws her subtle inspirations from cultures she has experienced.

Helena's Scandinavian side craves linear and clean looks, but her Latin side wants warm colours and for my pieces to be tactile with texture. She feels that she is a spontaneous designer and this comes across in her designs; particularly with her experimentation with texture on metal.
